Dj Duane Powell

Growing up in the vibrant soul music scene of 1970s and early 80s Chicago, Duane Powell began his journey in street promotions in 1985, promoting events for top DJs like Lil Louis in the city's emerging house music scene. By 1990, he was a marketing manager and consultant for various clubs and DJs, including the historic Powerhouse. As a DJ, Duane has headlined and held residencies at Chicago's most popular venues and festivals, such as Taste Of Chicago, SummerDance, and Chicago House Festival. His talent has also taken him to festivals across the U.S., including Arizona House Festival, ATL Weekender, Sankofa Soul NYC, and Afro Disco Miami, sharing the stage with legends like Ron Trent, Francois K, Joe Claussell, and more. Recognized as Best House DJ by the *Chicago Reader*, Duane has recorded live sets for Boiler Room and Elevator music. In 2023, his popular event, Sunday Service, reached the Smithsonian, bringing house music to the National Mall. Duane also serves as a board member of The Frankie Knuckles Foundation.

Dj Celeste Alexander 

Dj Celeste Alexander, a trailblazer in the house music scene, has balanced her roles as a wife, mother, DJ, and co-owner of a record label while delivering deep, soulful mixes. Introduced to DJing by Steve "Silk" Hurley in 1982, she learned alongside Chicago's pioneers and became one of the few women in a male-dominated industry, even playing with Ron Hardy at "The Music Box." After a hiatus, she returned in 2006, hosting "The Celestial Odyssey" on Cyberjamz.com, and co-founding Sophisticado Recordings. Recognized as one of Chicago's top DJs and inducted into the DJ Hall of Fame, Celeste continues to shatter stereotypes with her fearless artistry, playing at festivals, running her internet radio show, and mentoring the next generation.

DJ DaVyne: Innovator of House Music Entertainment DaVyne is not your average DJ. During a period of transformation, he ventured into the world of live streaming, birthing KMTVLive (Kompass Music TV Live) on Twitch. This channel has become a bustling hub for all things house music, streaming DJ sets, and immersive genre-related content to a global audience. Even as the world of live entertainment reopens, DJ DaVyne's groundbreaking streaming initiatives continue to thrive.

Looking ahead, DJ DaVyne has a captivating future in the pipeline. Not only is he a skilled. artistic DJ, he is also a talented music producer with exciting projects on the horizon before the year's end.

​As a promoter, he orchestrates two signature events in Atlanta, Georgia. The House Heads Picnic, an outdoor festival during the July 4th weekend, draws house music enthusiasts from all corners of the nation.  In addition, there is The Kompass Red White, and Black Holiday Party, is usually scheduled on the last Saturday before Christmas. This event offers a festive season filled with joyous vibes.

Now, with the 1st Annual House Heads at Sea Cruise, DJ DaVyne continues to pushboundaries, bringing the soulful sounds of house music to the high seas.

Dj Warren Stanley

DJ Warren has been spinning for over 40 years, starting in the 80s with a focus on Hip-Hop and R&B. About 15 years ago, he discovered a passion for House Music. After facing rejection from other DJs, he took matters into his own hands and started hosting his own parties at the I Can Club in New York, where he began to build a following. Nine years ago, he made his mark at the Rockaway Beach House Music Festival, and today, he continues to play throughout New York City and across various states. He holds two residencies in New York, and two years ago, he launched DJ Warren Production. He’s looking forward to sharing the decks with everyone once again on House Heads At Sea 2025 :The Breakaway.

Dj Jason Staten

Jason Staten grew up in Lansing, Michigan, just three hours from Chicago. Positioned between the epicenters of House and Techno, he was surrounded by legendary Rock and Soul radio stations. Proximity to Detroit allowed him to immerse himself in the evolving House, Techno, and Hip Hop cultures. Inspired by these influences, Jason began making music and deejaying. In 1995, he moved to Atlanta to become the first Music Director and Mixer on Hot 97.5. With broad and expansive musical tastes, nothing brings him more pleasure than an extensive musical conversation with a willing crowd who loves to dance.
